Anyone who has been proven to receive an ’empty syringe’ Covid-19 vaccine shot will be given a new injection, said the Health Ministry.
Health Minister Dr Adham Baba said they will be calling in those individuals again to receive their shots.
“Will be called in for an injection again,” he said on WhatsApp when asked about the issue, as reported by Berita Harian today.
He was responding to several incidents at vaccination centres (PPVs) where individuals who recorded themselves during the vaccination process claimed they were given blank shots of the Covid-19 vaccine.
When a country sees their most powerful players looting the public coffers and when there is corruption in the highest places then the population take their cue.
What else are lowlier people to do when they need to survive in a system where graft has removed a decent living and support for everyone but the super-rich in this crisis?
They take their example from their leaders and abuse their positions to make money on the side at the expense of the rest of the population.
Malaysia needs a zero corruption policy and it needs to crack down right from the top. Instead we see even the higher court allowing blatant graft on the part of the powerful, as in the case of Ku Nan who accepted a ‘party donation‘ into his private company account and could provide no evidence he passed it on to his party or spent it for his party.
Even despite the fact the ‘donation’ was several times the legal limit the court accepted the word of the ‘donor’ in this transaction as evidence that could be relied on. The dissenting minority opinion in this judgement says it all.
Malaysians are forced to live under this system of corruption and respond accordingly. Expect an empty syringe.
