Perhaps the most striking evidence relating to the maker of that discourteous claim is his activities prior to the last general election. Fearing that he would not be elected in his then constituency he ordered the construction of an Army camp there so hoping to get enough votes.

Leaving this shocking waste of public money aside does that show “leadership and clear direction”? Or simply the stupid act of a cowardly politician whose party was facing electoral wipe out?
